Give and Take
We are excited to announce our Give and Take program. Our goal is for Give and Take to consist of two programs per year. A coat drive in the late Fall and a traveling uniform consignment shop in the Spring.
Our coat drive runs from November 15, 2019 through January 1, 2020. Drop off your coats, jackets, sweaters, scarves, gloves, etc. to the nearest Highland Cleaners. There are 15 locations around the county. They will clean the outerwear and we will match them to a student in need in one of our schools. Dear JCPS will have them embellished whenever possible with school logo to promote school pride and sense of belonging. If you are a FRYSC and would like to request a coat for one of your students, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Traveling Consignment Store
Do you need uniforms for your kiddos at a low price? Have your kids outgrown theirs and you want to sell or donate yours?
Why not sign up to help us beta test the “Give and Take” uniform upgrade program at your school. With support from Dear JCPS and other community partners, we want to help your school community upgrade your uniform inventory and turn your children’s outgrown clothing into donations for PTO!
Whether your school already has a consignment store and want to make it better or you don’t have one at all, we are looking for a handful of schools to participate in this test roll-out for fall uniform upgrades. If you would like to be one of these schools, sign up below:
